underrepresentation of minorities. 100%
control of global corporations requires government intervention. you know what stops that happening, under-representation of minorities in government, because of under-representation in schools and jobs.
the we can't do anything about [achievable goal] until [something that will never happen and actually has no direct correlation with the goal itself] mindset is probably the best possible way to ensure nothing ever changes or improves, look at the last GE, labour provides costed policies that would help everyone that needs it the most, and it was shot down by people saying "well it's not going to eliminate debt" and instead voted for the tories who said nothing about improving anything for anyone except their mates whilst raising the public debt up at an almost previously unheard of rate anyways. it might not have eliminated public debt, but it would have made the country better off in a number of ways not measured by that one metric.
it's a handy way of making it sound like you're for the thing you're dismissing while actually making sure it never happens so you can still get to sleep at night, it's very popular.
