Did this as a test to see how flip paint looks over textured Powdercoat. Turns out it looks pretty sweet in my opinion!
Frame is powdercoated in a matte black finish with a real subtle texture, and the front end and fork fade from gold/green chromacoat into purple/cyan chromacoat, with a matte 2k finish.
Frameset is now surplus to requirements, so up for grabs. It’s an old style Volare 725 with 44mm headtube, and fork has an alloy steerer. TT measures 57cm c-c, which I think would make this frame a 58. Has had a brand new M Part Headset fitted, and will include mech hangar and BB cable guide.
£550 + shipping.

It's quite similar to my finish on my polo bike HOWEVER yours is way nicer, up for another project on a frame?
I'll post a photo tomorrow of my bike tomorrow, if the sun shines of course...

Hi all- anyone know off the top of their head the seatclamp size for a '14 Equilibrium disc - the black 631 number with the steel fork?
Vaguely remember measuring it quickly when I got the frame however I've now shoved it up the loft while I sort some bits to get it on the road - 29.summat?
Cheers!

30mm I think. Don’t quote me on that
Edit: wasn’t 631 version so maybe not

29.8mm

Cheers! I don't have calipers so was using a steel ruler - possibly hungover - so not the most accurate measuring strategy, 29 & a bit was as close as I was getting

Morning
Considering picking up a Genesis Equilibrium with the insurance money from my last bike (written off by a pillock in a Golf pulling out on me)
I've seen what looks like a very good deal on a 2016 Equilibrium Disc (nigh on identical to the first bike picture in this entire thread), and am interested to know the differences between the 2016 and 2019 Equilibrium Disc 20, and t'internet isn't throwing much up - they're both 725 steel, come with 105, and tbh, the 2016 paint job is infinitely sexier.
Any help anywhere on this?

Thru axle, external headset

I'm a big fan of this colour

Hmmm, given a new 2o19 model is £2000 list, and this is 25% of that I can probably live with a lack of thru axles and a different headset ...

Red just doesn't suit me :)
The grey/black/yellow looks lush mind
-
• #747
(if it hasn't got thru axles what does it use? All my previous bikes have been rim brakes ... spot the n00b)
((and what're the pros/cons of the headset type))

Quick release!
External means you can get a chris king so every one can see how cool your bike is and you'll get more likes on instagram -

Right, as can be seen from my predilection for beards and flat caps, combined with my ever advancing decrepitude, ICGAF about newfangled nonsense like instagram. Looks like I'll be getting a 2016 model and giving it an overhaul

Great bikes anyway, if only they had slightly more tyre clearance
Joy of joys - my set up was pretty much spot on - no 90mm stems!!
