Converse are pretty good. The advertising at Glasgow is grippier than the wood because it's painted using a sandtex type paint so if I can make it up to there I can stick in the middle of the corner.
Other people have tried, even in proper climbing shoes but not found anything that grips like the Converse yet.

No idea but clearly not enough grip as the next moment he slid on his arse back down.
