The Telegraph says these are cheap and good (£70 John Lewis) and these are cheaper still.

10-x-25
10×25 is a bit narrow and dark for nature watching, 7-8×40-50 is the usual recommendation.
There are Nikon Aculon models in 7×50 and 8×42 at under £100.

Or just the cables? Maybe there's a tight curve or kink somewhere
had this on my full outers, the "curve" to the rear mech seem to cause it problems, so made it larger and worked ok

The need for a big loop there is a well known feature/bug of SRAM road RDs, and one of the drivers for my switch to an MTB RD on my 10-speed road bike.

is there any way I can set my iPhone up so it delays the sending out of all text messages by 10 or so seconds? So if I was to ever send a text to the wrong person I'd notice and stop it before it goes out. I know gmail has this ability but can you do it on an iphone too?

Hi guys!
I have decided on two single speed bikes out of which I have to pick one for buying. I am looking for suggestions on which one to pick. I will be riding it almost everyday for a ~30 min ride.
1) Jamis. I rode it today and it was decent enough, it has a new chain. It was a really simple bike. £100
2) Fuji feather. I am trying this one tomorrow. From the pictures it looks like a sweet deal. £ 190After reading through this forum, I think the Fuji would be a better deal. Would this be a good choice?

MTB question: My trek roscoe 8 2018 has the stock brakes on it (Shimano M315 hydraulic disc,2 pot, £40 a set online https://www.merlincycles.com/shimano-m315-front-and-rear-disc-brake-set-132886.html?source=PHG), and a guy in the uni club has offered me a brand new pair of Sram Guide T brakes for £70, and they are currently £72 each on CRC (https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/mobile/sram-guide-t-disc-brakes/rp-prod180856?fbclid=IwAR3xykedjG5EBKSZvK1z9ZJOaHQlhpHuT-LUWJpmjes_Y1rcligTMIELa3E). There is only 1 review I can find and people I've asked don't know much about the guide Ts, other than this is cheap for a pair of 4 pot brakes. Worthwhile upgrade?

the SRAMs will give you more modulation but not too much extra overall power
up to you if that is worth the cash -
• #96039
Don't do it, shimano 4lyf.

At least as far as brakes go, but also most other stuff.

Are you finding your current brakes deficient in some way?

@platypus cheers. I think if he doesn't shift them soon and wants to get rid of them he might let them go a bit cheaper, in which case I will go for it.
@snottyotter I do usually subscribe to that philosophy -

@mdcc_tester I haven't got much to compare them to, but when I have been on mates' bikes with better brakes I do think the stock ones on my bike could definitely be more powerful. But I suppose they do work 'fine'

Get bigger rotors, or some deore, they do 4 pots now if that's your thing.

I have some used wheels, went to set them up and found a pair of dents in the rim bed of each, opposite the valve hole so seems like someone used a fork or something to get the tyre on. Will I die if I ride these? I assume not as it doesn’t go through, and I’ll be fine. But I would feel better if a random person on the internet said it’s ok

Looks like a weld seam to me.

weld seam
Specifically, the two round indentations are the jigging points where the rim is held in the welding fixture to make sure it's the same circumference after welding as it was before.

So this is expected behaviour?
