Its a lovely route, probably one of the best rides in southern England

This weekend marked my first Time Failing an audax. The "sod this" moment was at around 3am given the slow progress (due to fatigue and wind) with the added bonus of freezing temps.
An overnight 300 perm in March with bad Scottish weather wasn't a recipe for fun.
Report by my ride partner on this adventure can be soon found on his blog. Other interesting perm ride reports also there such as Snow Roads 300 in February...

I've ridden it but to be honest the only thing I remember was the parking fine I got and the wind/rain at the start.

I guess PBP means all these events are filling up quick, coz I went to enter them and they're full. Even the ones in Bristol were filling up. My 300 is a 600 and it's sandwiched between two other 600s ;)

Can you remind me to pay for parking? :)

I will if I don't DNS! Weather forecast is rain pretty much all day and I'm not sure I can be arsed with that. Let's hope it changes through the week.

I don't know how many more rides I can sack off. Hope the forecast improves.

Nevermind the rain, this wind can get lost pronto.

The Ditchling Devil has moved away from half term (it's usually end of May or start of June) which means I should be able to do it again this year.

One of the events up in the Scottish Borders has been cancelled this weekend due to forecast snow. Hopefully not too many other BRMs rides will have to do the same.

I think that's the best choice.
Goal this year - actually ride up hogtrough hill.

I can't seem to find the time to build up the distance to do a 150km+ audax injury free

What are you injuring?

Knees. Working on flexibility and strength generally and trying to ramp up distance gradually, have seen a physio. A bike-fit is on the list too but £££
Is it a good route? I'm looking for a 300 to replace Amesbury Amble for SR.
Or can I just ride it on another date? I can't find the requirements for SR.
