If all the bulbs keeps going it might be a good idea to check the wiring? I've never heard of mis-matching lightbulbs causing them to blow. Is that really a thing?
I guess LED's will be more resilient though, so could work better

I swapped out all of our MR16 GU5.3 bulbs with MR16 GU10 LEDs
It did mean a bit of rewiring though - cutting out the transformers & wiring in GU10 connectors - but that seemed worth it, as to change the bulbs to LED, I would have needed to swap the transformers to work with LEDs

I'm replacing mine slowly with the Hue Gu10 white ambience ones! Expensive but worth every penny.

This is sooo not a thing. It reminds me of the landlord I had in York once who told me the bulbs in a light fitting were blowing because they were upside down 😂 He wasn't an evil landlord, he was a lovely chap, he was just a bit dim. Bless him.
I think @TW might be right and it could be heat related. I have never had good experiences with halogen or 12v spots so I would be replacing with LEDs and 240v where possible (I don't like transformers either).
So where is a good online place to get 240v GU5.3, preferably LEDs?

Not really DIY but this seems the best place fo this question. I need to replace all the light bulbs in my kitchen because new bulbs keep blowing and I think it's because I haven't got them all matching (how you find out what bulbs the previous occupant bought is beyond me).
So where is a good online place to get 240v GU5.3, preferably LEDs?
I also have the same predicament with under-cupboard (above worktop, mood lighting but not actually that useful) lights. These are 12v G4 halogens. Again I'd rather replace with LEDs if possible.
Normally my local hardware store would be the go to option but they don't have what I'm after.
