I meant that in terms of how good he was in this performance he looks like a ‘real’ future prospect. Since Gladiator and Walk the Line I had only been that aware of him in Inherent Vice, which wasn’t all that good, my least favourite PTA film. If I’ve missed any great performances, I would love to be educated.
"No country for old men", where his haircut alone was worth an Oscar. Contrast that with Skyfall, which shamefully underused him as the campest Bond villain yet. The films may vary in quality but his range is awesome.
Skyfall.........the worst Bond ever. (despite getting to M's computer and blowing the shi* out of MI6 from it, mr Villan still misses her with a handgun at close range which he has to do for some reason)
