They really don’t, Tag Heuer reissued the famous 2446 Rindt Autavia in 2017 and it’s not nearly as well proportioned, 42mm and 16mm thick.
People much better on the pulse than me seem to think prices are plateauing but I don’t see nice vintage pieces dropping in value anytime soon.
Prices have definitely peaked IMO. Ninas that were selling for £20-£25kk are now around the £15-£18k mark for example. Same for Heuers, though a bit less so. That said I doubt we'll see major further falls, just that the froth has come off the top.
