The more you look at that the nicer it gets. What year? looks to have been ahead of its time.

End nineties as far as I remember.

Reminds me of these. I remember seeing a pic of this as a kid and having my brain scrambled. I had no idea what the fuck was going on.
@BareNecessities That's utterly lovely. Titanium springs in the forks is absurd!

Back in 1998 my brother was member of a French team sponsored by Sunn (for XC-racing) and I remember he once could use one of the spare bikes from Nicolas Vouilloz to ride a local DH race. Compared to the bikes we knew, that Radical felt like you were going downhill in an easy-chair. It was sick.

Nico Vouilloz was a legend!!

When DH bikes still had v-brake mounts

I wonder what way they're using the word swag there

Some retro downhill gold over the last two pages. I loved all of those as a youth religiously reading through MBUK but Shaun Palmer's Stars & Bars Intense was always one of my absolute favourite works bikes. Theres still something about the combination of Boxxers, Magura Racelines, XLite stems and XTR that sends me weak at the knees.

It's an old snowboard brand that used to sponsor Palmer.

reading through MBUK
Used to cut out centerfolds and stick 'em up on the wall. Still have a laminated one of the Giant XTC Team MCM.
Thinking about it. I might make that a project...

I did the same with the back covers with Mint Sauce. Pretty sure I had some posters on my wall of Team MBUK (Will Longden, Andrew Tittley et al) and Chainspotting too.

Nice, I mean, I think mine's nicer, but I am biased.

Not when you mutilate it the way you did. ;) Give the bike some decent parts, will you. Or sell me the frameset. ;)

Nice. Is that a Dekerf fork? I'm only familiar with the segmented version

Give the bike some decent parts, will you.
I can see Thomson, WI and Paul, how feckin’ high are your standards?
-
• #1371
It’s a Kona P2, I’d love a Tuning fork but £££££££

• #1372
Thomson? That’s a Cook Bros seat post ;-)

My bad.

Not at all, not many around for reference.

Sorry, I didn't mean the parts that are on the bike, I meant the ones missing. I should have said: give the bike some gears, please.
