Most of the cars are being unveiled this week. Barcelona testing is next week and the week after. It’s being streamed live for the first time, on F1 TV.

For anyone new or coming back after a break, the cars have changed a little bit this season in an effort to allow the cars to race closer together. Most noticeable changes are a bigger, simpler front wing with no outwash cascades, larger rear wing, and a lower, longer bargeboard area. At the moment there will be no live coverage on Channel 4 but they are showing the highlights.

I've never been successful with vpns and apps, but it's all tied up with sky again in the UK this year?

Might try the motogp app this year though, I think that's all good here?

Well this is crap, looks like you have to pay for the subscription to F1TV to see live coverage. They didn't mention that bit.

Cheaper than sky though?

Also I'd rather give money directly to Liberty than Sky.

/\ agreed - but until the stranglehold of the top teams is broken Liberty cannot do much. it was all going to change when they came in, so far a new(ish) front wing regs and the above.
not sure IIRC when F1 introduced the 2 hour race limit, but i hate that - i used to enjoy it going over time when its was raining, red flags, etc etc - now its got to be kept boxed in for the TV

Just watching the F1 doc on Netflix... pretty good so far. Some of the drama seems a little contrived but it's nice to hear from some of the teams further down the grid - recommended

Looking forward to the mid-field teams with a car outside the top 10 making a pit-stop with 2 laps to go.

Should be interesting if a bunch of them do it and get in the way of the leaders!

I reckon if I went round Lando Norrris's house I'd give him a run for his money. That Autosport bloke is useless.

WTF1 has a video called (iirc) "That's Radillon, actually." in which various people are asked to indicate where Eau Rouge is at Spa. Lando got it wrong.

Hmm tried to binge watch the F1 Netflix thing - got bored of all the fast cut-away, over emphasised noise bang/whollop/crash noises all the time and the incessant music-to-enhance drama - while waiting for the 3 of 4 second snippets of conversations between teams and drivers.....

I’ve binged watched the first 5 episodes of the F1 programme on Netflix so far.

I’ve been really enjoying it, I get what you mean about some of the editing but the rest of the programme is really good.
