My dad had to do that with our retriever many years ago. But instead of grass, it was an entire carrier bag.
@frankohara your dog is gorgeous. I’d recommend seeing a behaviourist with any rescue dog, even if all looks good on the surface. Our boy (Staffy x JRT) seemed fine when he came but we’re now unpicking some issues we could have nipped in the bud at the start.

Thanks, he seems to be revealing more of his character as he settles (becoming more playful and puppy like) but nothing to be concerned about so far. Tbh he has only been with us for three weeks ( 2 trial +1 one of oficial ownership) so we may wait and see what the next two weeks are like. What were the issues you faced? Hope you don’t mind me asking, was the treatment/therapy expensive? Also I hope to not open a big polemic but what dog insurance and vaccines do you guys recommend?

Oh the joys of dog ownership. Grass eating. I've just pulled a length of string-like grass out of a dog shaped party popper. Thankfully he didn't go bang.
