They did, I'd just driven it up (well, rolled it) onto the bed, jumped out and took the photo - the guy was on the other side strapping the wheels down.

Luckily here in Aus the rego (tax) costs are not too bad.

I don't have any pics, friend was there and took photos. Does seem to be much on the older stuff.On facebook there is ran when parked group that has a few photos.

Oh and the older cars on the stand, the new stuff doesn't interest me.

Was just about to say UK car ved is generally very reasonable imo, try Ireland, Switzerland, Norway or some of the islands like Madiera and Malta. Think the Netherlands and Denmark are pretty painful too

Denmark has a weird system that taxes some cars excessively, but it's mostly based on mileage. My mum pays £1950 a year for her petrol VW Transporter. A 159 2.4 JTDm costs around £1050 which is about the same as a 996.

And that is a bitch to replace. Had to do one of those myself.
