Could be! I just took the chain off the old bike and slapped it on. It was the same drivechain but I guess it could be shorter length chainstays.
Just that the derailleur cage doesn't look particularly extended. It will take up some slack, tighten your chain and make shifting a bit better if it is shortened (providing it is too long)
