It's just a 2nd hand seat from a stroller. Helps with the sun and rain but the kid will still get wet though which is not a big deal. Cheap and easy solution if you wanna strap in on and remove it later. I'm at work but can send you a pic of a more elegant solution I've seen online when I get home.
Edit: or you can just read post #32 in the mom/dad-mobiles thread.
2018 was a good bike year. I managed to get my dream cargo bike and full sus mtb and thus, once again tried persuading myself that my bike collection was complete. Ha, what an idiot, of course you need more bikes. Who doesn't? All it took was a few sunny days and I got the itch again after finding a POS hybrid bike minus wheels in the trash. Forks, triple crankset, bb and pretty much everything else besides the frame made their way back to the trash bin. Steadily hoarding components meant that I only needed to buy a cassette, NW chainring and some cheap tyres because my 2.35's rub on the fork. It'll get finished in a couple of weeks when components arrive and if I get on with it I'll paint it. For some reason building up shit bikes I basically don't need makes me extremely happy.
