I just had a look at your reddit dealers page, looks nice, tidy dial. Noticed no case back shots so fingers crossed the medallion is clean too.

@inchpincher this is something I discovered after I’d paid for it and something I can’t quite figure out. Some I’ve seen have a medallion/normal case back. Others seem to have a mono block case with movement access through the dial and no removable case back. Need to do some more research today.

Yeah basically looking for a unicorn vintage mechanical.
Tank watch not a bad shout. Would prefer a standard face.

What’s the budget like? You can find ladies sized Rolex Oyster Perpetuals for sale a lot cheaper than the 36mm+ sizes. E.g.:

Hmmm. Might be a bit over budget.
Beautiful all the same. 😎

I’ll be in Bangkok with work this week. Any suggestions for where to look for half-decent replica watches? I was just thinking about picking up something fun like a Steve McQueen Explorer.

Alright kiddos, if anyone's interested I'm flogging a few watches on. In order from left to right:
Battered Timex Explorer on new leather timex strap, with indiglo £20
Sandpapered Timex chrono on leather timex strap, with indiglo £50
Timex Fairfield minimal watch on silver nato, with indiglo £50
Omega Seamaster 300 - obviously a fake but still quite nice, on battered Nato, £80
Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 - real, with original crown, but a reface, and I think the gold case is new too. Gaining about 30 seconds a day. Papers, no box. £250
Chris Ward 42mm Trident Pro 300 Automatic, slight chip out of bezel, on crocodile strap, but comes with CW steel bracelet. Old logo, for logo nerds. Boxed, papers, recently serviced by Chris Ward. £350
Junghans Max Bill Quartz on leather. Boxed, papers, only about six months old - just doesn't go with my big hairy wrists. £350 - a little overpriced this one as I'm saving it for my pal

Never heard of Mariner, just like I've never heard of the literally hundreds of £200-£400 fashion/kickstarter type stuff that seems to live on Instagram these days.

It has a lovely brass case which they've covered in PVD, so I sandpapered it back. It is not the most perfect job in the world but it gives it a cool battered, outdoorsy look which I like.

Ouch. Horrific ads and the AD/photog put his name to it too. Probably the "marketing department" is actually an unpaid social media intern tho.

• #33542
I suspect @MarinerWatches are deeply regretting their latest ad campaign.
I suspect @MarinerWatches are chinking their glasses (of whisky) at the successful PR campaign that got the internet talking about some random unknown watch company. The unpaid intern is now probably being paid.

I suspect this time next month, nobody will remember their name.

Horrific, gotta be a stunt... I imagine they'll sell out to red hatted frat boys all across the US...

Very happy... been after one of these in any condition for over a year now. I wanted to permanently borrow the Breil branded one from my ex’s father, but he turned out, well, that didn’t happen.
This one with the much nicer Dugena brand (same watch, different market) came up in Germany but apparently it doesn’t work. Getting it for a bargain low price - low enough to make swapping the quartz movement well worthwhile.
Might be months more til it’s in my paws though, it’ll wait with my friend in Germany until I can visit.

Moody homage?! (fry face)

Purchased an Erika’s MN for the Squale. Basically a luxury perlon. Has some stretch which makes it very comfortable and the “patina” hardware option doubles down on the tool watch vibe. Bit on the nice but pricey side but I’m a fan.

As regal says I would be looking at Cartier tanks - I went for a 14k JLC vintage tank and she’s basically never worn it, yet still wants a Cartier!
