  • I find it doesn't look right with a collared shirt underneath - it's designed so that there is no front or back so you can imagine that it tends to ride higher (and wider) than a typical one.

  • Pretty much 100% sure that's from Le Tricoteur. I'm wearing mine right now, and in the modified form I love it.

  • I'm using mine with button down shirts sometimes and it does ride higher but I think it works, unless I'm a walking fashion faux pas... I can see it potentially looking odd with unbuttoned shirt collars as you might get one side stuck underneath the sweater collar

  • Maybe I just need to embrace that Channel aesthetic.

  • So the neck is high? I like it like that, I’ll order one cheers.

Labour and wait seem pretty expensive if they’re the same as other sites https://guernseyjumpers.com/shop/?categoryid=6

  • Get it from the site you listed or I think they sell on eBay as well.
I like high neck jumpers, I just prefer them to be round instead of a pseudo boatneck.

  • For me the extra cost at labour and wait was worth it as I could try it out, but if you know your size go with the other

Just read "UK ORDERS WILL BE CHARGED VAT @ 20%" on https://guernseyjumpers.com/shop/?ItemId=36, so it's still cheaper but not as much

  • Do you happen to know their eBay store? I can only find pre owned

That ex vat pricing is annoying.

Still not really clear what’s wrong with the neck?

  • Mine was from eBay a few years back so they may not be on there anymore. The neck is a unique shape, might be best to go to Labour and Wait to try it out for yourself. It’s a fun store to wander around in regardless.

  • I didn't know it was even possible to spend that much on joggers!

£50 is the max for leg coverings in this house.

  • Valid! For what it's worth, their sweatshirt material is probably some of the best in the world, so when you feel like treating yourself...

I have five McCoy's sweat's/hoodies and they're without a doubt the best value for money pieces of clothing I own. They wear in beautifully. I've had one of these for going on four years now: https://www.realmccoyslondon.com/us/joe-mccoy-10oz-sweat-parka-grey.html

Every time it gets washed it comes out looking quite literally brand new. Has never lost it's shape, no loose stitches, wonderfully soft. Etc.

  • It all looks comfy as fuck. Maybe in another life I will get to feel such luxury!

  • what’s wrong with the neck?

nothing. It's a peculiar design though as it's the same front and back. This image is the best I could find that shows how my neck has become after wearing it

As you can see it sits slightly higher than a normal crew neck, but not much. There's also a slight fold in the front

  • I'm looking for an M65 jacket - having been inspired to wear it with jacket & shirt on a trip to Rome.

  • @tenderloin Unless you want a modern, slimmer interpretation of an M-65, you can't go wrong with the Buzz Rickson's M-65: https://www.buzzricksons.com/type-65-combat-jacket-p-139.html

As true to the original as you'll find. Also consider an M-43. Contact @bensleathergoodsco on instagram and see what he has. He's at Spitalfields every Thursday.

  • Scratch that. He's changed his name to @hangupvintage and now has a store on Cheshire St by the looks of things.

  • Cheers dude - reckon they’ll have the buzz Rickson at SoS or Real McCoys?

  • Might have it at SoaS. McCoy’s only sell McCoy’s. They do make an original spec M-65 but have none on their site anymore. Perhaps they still have some in store. Worth calling Clutch too as they stock both McCoy’s and Buzz.

  • Justin (@JD) will have loads of M65s at his warehouse, give him a tinkle...

  • Thanks I like that neck , I have a jumper like that already that I wear all the time

  • Those guys are killing it. Quite a look to pull off though, especially the first guy. Might be safer to experiment with cheap surplus version first. I think it’ll work best if the fabric is not too stiff.

  • Yeah - I’ve been rocking that look this spring (when dry) bold but think I’ve pulled it off.

I’ll look for something vintage to test the waters

  • Anyone out there own a Kapital ring coat ?
