That's an interesting point actually. I guess it's easier to trust somebody you've never been tattooed by before these days because of the sheer number of examples of their work online. Having said that, I think the increase in more prominent tattoos is probably just down to a change in taste and the fact that tattoos are a lot more socially acceptable than they were in the past. My mum even has one and she's relatively conservative (small c).

Yes, of course, totally agree.
Just meant to say that nowadays people are getting tattoed where they want when they want.
I also get the oldschool approach of earning trust / establishing a relationship,
but that's changed I guess - you see 100 tattoos of the guy on instagram and then go book him and that's that.
