Funny this, last time I had some work done my tattoo guy (who’s both young and old school) was telling me that when he started getting tattooed you had to follow an order, can’t remember the exact order, but like you had to get chest and back done before arms, upper arms before forearms etc. And that if you didn’t follow that there were consequences. Comparing to now where it’s like that image, and people come in and ask for 2 full sleeves, “what would you like in them” don’t care as long as they look cool... and people getting hands and throats done as first tattoos. I’ve kept quite traditional in getting upper arms done, then upper legs, then calves.... got a small piece on my back which was my very first at age 14 or 15, but don’t have anything more on my back or chest/stomach cause I’m fat and hairy.
It does make me kind of glad I didn’t go full sleeves and they seem more common than halves, plus I even got my inner upper arms done rather than skipping 😂
