  • Did some bike packing this weekend, all was great. On the train back from Bristol decided to get off at Chippenham and cycle the rest of the way home. In doing so a big stick jammed in the RD and bent the hanger. It's a steel bike with the hanger built into the frame, it looks pretty bad. Do you think a shop could bend this back successfully?

  • That looks fixable, you do need a good bike shop to do it though.

    For myself I would probably initially squeeze it in a vice and then use a g clamp to align it, if using a "home" fix.
