Ah!

32/16 is what I’ve plumped for on the 29er I’m building, although my local trails are Thetford so I imagine that commands a taller gear than most places, and I tend to be a pusher rather than a spinner. Will have to see how I get on, might be hurriedly ordereding a 17/18/19 after it’s maiden voyage (when I get round to it). Is 32/18 a more sensible bet for a 29er?

I'd go for a 32/17, 34/18, or 36/19 myself. Something around 54-55"

I am both weak, and terrible at spinning though, so try to find something inbetween :-)

Nice one. I’ll certainly give 32/16 a go as it’s already on there, but I imagine I’ll be taking your advice once I start riding it as I’m almost certainly over geared.
