Exactly. It’s not a TT bike so you’d expect to need to go up a hill or two occasionally. There’s only one chainring, a 50t. It probably has no higher of a first gear than a double crankset and normal cassette

Subjective. It’s also lighter and more aero
50x10 is taller than 53x11, but agreed that dinner plate cassettes aren’t slave.
50 1x with 11-23 maybe...
