Do it. It would be a great everyday car that could handle a more hooligan aspect too. The Speedlines are the wheels to go for. If/when I move back to the UK, a tidy 172/182 is high on my list.
There's a lot either without history, or have obviously been ragged to shit. The ones you do find that are obviously taken care of, are ones that close the gap price wise to a Trophy. Something I really don't want to think about.
Yeah, I think it will take a bit of searching to find the right car but it'll be worth it when you do. Or if you can stretch to a Trophy, go for one of those. I think they will be a bonefide collectors car in another 5-10 years.
