Nope. This is entirely second-hand information, but what I took away from it is that the salary isn't high enough for someone with the experience / abilities they want to put up with their shit.
I'm a lazy git, personally, so any of these "work yourself to the bone for a few years" things have never appealed to me anyway, no matter the salary. In that context, the dinners thing is a huge red flag for me.
Someone on reddit pointed out this line:
Translates to: you better prepare to spend your evenings at work because fuck you.
And apparently, the salary isn't even that high that this would appear tempting.
