I have a spare pair of track cranks for square taper - can I use those? Or a shimano double but using only the big ring? I think it would be cool to put on other cranks as I think brompton cranks are fuck ugly.

first person to say they dont like brompton cranks! whats not to like? they are just simple..

Yes, lots of other cranks "fit" but unlikely to be able to fold the left pedal over, and there wont be a stop so naturally it will hit the frame and kill the paint ..

excellent points. So am guessing people who stick on dura ace cranks are doing much folding eh - I was not going to do that btw.

So how much for ur cranks Dr. Helpful? (no sarcasm)
