Anyone else got experience with those (what look like) Maxxis DTH tyres?
Thinking of getting them for the Troll but want to confirm they're not absolutely terrible.

yeah, I have them. They're dirt jumper tires with all that comes along with. Probably a little heavier than they need to be, but pretty fast-rolling and handle… ok on mixed surfaces. If it gets too loose they get not-great quick. Also meant to be run at higher pressures than say, Compass, but then again I've been running them on fairly narrow old rims.

I've haven't gotten a single one but a person I knew who had them said they got flats all the time, so YMMV I suppose.

There seems to be a lot of conflicting experiences in reviews on CRC etc so I was hoping you'd say you hadn't got any...! I guess I can give them a go.

Schwalbe big apples are awesome a roll really well.
At low pressures also suprisingly capable off road.
Same goes for Schwalbe Table Tops. I've had zero flats on either. -

I actually have thought about taking a couple apart and build a nice one before they get binned. But I don't have use for one, so would just be time wasted. Already have to come in too much weekends already!

Ah the XC70, what engine you have in that?
Took our modified V70 D5 pool car to Germany for a FAT earlier this week and that cruises like a boat compared to my new V60. Really enjoyable bombing it down the autobahn.

Enjoy it while you still can, I guess we will see tempo limits in effect here by 2020..

She started out as a bog simple 2.5T automatic (no manuals were available over here) I’ve upgraded the turbo to a 16t and had a Hilton tune/remap. She’s been lifted 2” via springs, 3/4” with subframe spacers and just about another inch from changing to a 215/70r16.
Handling was tightened up by new engine mounts, but I just discovered that the bolt that connects the upper engine mount has rattled loose. Need to fix that, and install some new end links and sway bars that I’ve ordered.

Gonna need some 'functional' side shots of that. Sounds like a proper hauler now.
