One of the things i'm looking forward to most about moving is the chance to sort out my cabling for TVs once and for all (probably).

tell me about it, I've not got 2 macbooks each with different connections that need plugging in too. I need some massive switch/bank of HDMI inputs and USB charging ports.

I admire your optimism. It will start off all nice and neat and then you'll need to add a few things and you can't be bothered undoing all the zip ties and unscrewing the cable storage and stuff and then within a year it's back to a rat's nest.
I counted up recently and I've got nineteen things plugged in to the mains around my AV setup (one of which is a USB power supply with half a dozen USB cables) and also into double figures for network cables.
