It's hydraulic. Not electronic. Still seems a rather odd place to put that dry-break connector, I agree, but there may be packaging reasons which aren't obvious which means it has to go there.
In real life, how often does that loop get snagged when it's a Bowden cable? That one seems big, maybe a test mule that hasn't been refined. This bike at the launch event is much tighter
