  • I have a Basil Portland (newly acquired fron forum). It is supposed to mount on solid axle. I have quick release front, as well as eyelets for rack.
    Haven't yet had a chance to try and fit, but on a guess, would either of these options work?
    I'm currently thinking either should be fine, maybe with an m5 penny washer between to make it secure...

  • I fitted my Basil Portland onto my 5mm(?) allen bolt on Surly hub (same as qr) using a larger washer either side of the flattened stay and a fat washer the same thickness inside the large mount hole. Ran it for a couple of years like that with no issue. I guess if you have rack mount eyes you could use those. I did check the bolt quite often, but no issues and used it for the grocery shop a couple times a week.
