If you’re on a long ride and have dropped enough dollar on a flashy bike then it’s likely you’ll be running wide carbon rims with 25c (minimum) tyres. If you can’t reach 70-80 psi, which is more than enough on that setup, with a mini pump you can put in your jersey pocket or even a co2 cylinder then you’re doing something wrong.
obviously if you exclusively race on the bike then a frame pump would be ridiculous, but assuming you might ride a bike outside of a race, and in said situation you might get a puncture, then they're by far the best solution to that problem (assuming you're not being followed by a team car with spare wheels)
