How long did it take for the new cockpit to arrive?
Worried they’ll turn around and say they can’t supply it and leave me with a bike I can’t ride.

mine arrived swiftly, sadly i didnt return the original one and they charged me :'(

The cockpit I want isn’t showing as being in stock to buy though. Either they haven’t got it or they’re protecting stock to deal with people who want to swap.

chat was useful for me

A week or less i think, better to talk to them first before placing the order

‘No agents are available’ 🙄
The way they balance production and availability is a shrewd manufacturing model. I bet they’re never left with surplus stock.
BUT it’s frustrating for the buyer.

I've been waiting for a replacement fork for nearly 2 months now after initially being told it would arrive in a week...

I knew there’d be a name for it.
I don’t think Canyon would lose any sales if they added 3% to prices and improved availability.
Sure they’ve got a Teutonic genius who’s running the numbers though.

You could modify the out front mount to have a go pro adaptor and run a light under handlebar bag. I've attached a variation I made for my ultimate. Ive also attached a couple of photos of a medium grail with a small apidura bag, accessory pouch attached to the cockpit.
If you have a bag then you have to use a quarter turn garmin mount in the stem.

Theyre are decent to speak with, just make sure all things sets before you place the order, if your not happy with the bike send it back...

I'm just building my newly arrived grybrid. Can anyone tell me what these bits of plastic are for?

For the front fork so it wont fall while you building it? Maybe

Ah, I think the thing at the back must be packaging for a QR which I don't have, as it's a through axle bike.
I think the bit at bottom right must be something to do with tyre valves. But what about the bit at bottom left?
-
• #2217
The box is for the QR. When the bikes are built using OEM parts, anything that isnt used to build the bike is included in the mesh bag.
-

Right, but what are the lower two bits then? They were in the mesh bag. Bike is an Al Grail if that is relevant. Could one be some kind of brake/derailleur fitting jig? It is not a disc brake pad spacer, I have found those.

Bottom right is part of Shimano’s hydraulic brake bleed kit.
Have no idea what the bottom left is. -

If you call their UK office, they can send you out the cockpit you think you'll need in advance, creating an account for you with a debit on it. Then once you get the bike, remove and ship back the cockpit you don't want, and the debit on your account is cancelled.
I swapped the cockpit on my Aeroad 3 times like this (indecisive, and then had a bike fit). It's relatively expensive to ship back to Germany with tracking and insurance, sadly.
Ultimately just having a normal stem and bars is better in terms of being able to cheaply change your fit, but I'm vein and the bike has Di2 so I wanted the Aerocockpit with the recess for the junction box!

The piece on the left comes on the brakes from the shimano factory to stop the brake being closed when it is dry.
The piece on the right is an adapter for the bleed kit as they have changed the diameter of the port on the new levers.

Thank you sir.
Looking into maybe buying the grail sl7 with the hoverbar cockpit. Has anyone seen a setup with a handlebar bag, gps and light? Your typical multiday ride setup.
