I guess the main plus on the octane is that it's steel, if you like the steel looks. Guess the new Ribble is probably a better deal for now though

Looks cheap though

Does anyone know if the drop outs on the Arkose Alfine frame can be swapped to thru axel?

You have an Arkose? Have Cannondale replaced you with Rat Boy?

If anyone's looking for a new adventure/gravel/monster (& who the fuck isn't apparently) i've just been for a ride at Grizedale Forest & they're selling off two virtually unused Genesis Vagabonds (1 x L, 1 x M) for £550 plus postage. Seems an absolute bargain Took one for a spin round the visitors centre and it was rad to the max!

The 2019 frame, yes. Older models, no.

The next issue is if I could internally route it through my Isen. There is a hole on the left side of the down tube (possibly for dynamo cable?), am wondering if it could then go down, around the bb and up the seat tube (when they release the internally routed 27.2 version).

Anyone own a Datum? Specifically the 2017 model. Might have found a bit of a bargain and I remember being disappointed with it. Anything improve?

Ribble CGR 725 prices all gone up by £200. Brexit?

What do you want to know? I've got a Datum that I run as a winter road/gravel/CX bike. I absolutely love it.

I have a 2017 Datum. I think it's a great bike, but definetly more on the road side compared to modern gravel bikes.

maybe they realised that charging £799 for a frameset and £1000 for a full tiagra build was a bit silly.
shame they couldn't have reduced the frameset price by £200 instead... -

Has anyone got anything to say about the Trek Checkpoint ALR 5? Good? Bad?
I'm in the market for a gravel bike with a € 2000 budget. Should be available in Belgium (so no hard to get UK brands). -

They seem popular in Manchester

Opinions on the Fairlight Faran? Was thinking of transferring parts to a new frame. Mainly want a do it all bike!

Seems a bit pricey from the chatter on here - 500 is the deposit! I’d be more tempted to go to A Chinese ti frame builder and go custom.

Felt odd with just a small bag, no garmin or lights etc, so I collected some nappies!
