  • Hi there, selling my Brompton M6L as I simply don't use it enough to justify it. I'm the second owner - bought from a neighbour about a year ago thinking I could use to commute and other things, but work changed and I end up using my motorbike every day. My wife tried to use it but she found too heavy and a faff to carry around tube/train stations.

It has a telescopic seatpost and upgraded Shimano brake levers.

It rides brilliantly and it's in very good condition.

    Price: moved elsewhere

Collection only from NW10, or I might meet somewhere more central if needed.

  • Sorry, a couple of things to add:

    • Saddle not included - I need this to something else. I can add a generic Bontrager one I have lying around.
    • As you can see in the pictures, it also has one of these bridge extenders in the handlebar.

  • Bargain!

  • This looks perfect for me, could you bring it central London tomorrow at all for me to test please?

  • It’s over 15 years old, so maybe not so much!

  • It's cleaner than mine and looks newer! :)

  • Totally agree, bargain. Clean example should fetch more.

    Bump!

  • It’s pre 2004, seen 2014+ m3l bikes in good nick go for 600-700

  • I understand that. Maybe not a total bargain but it still seems like a good price to me given its current state.

  • Hi everyone, I tried to price it fairly based on a quick review of the offers I could see in few places. It seems not everyone agrees so a small price reduction to £525 and I'm adding a Brompton front bag that I forgot I have.

  • what's the name of the cat?
The one living at my place looks quite similar

  • That's Juscelino, he's not for sale :)

  • I would never pay for any being don't worry
    !

  • Ok, another week and final price bump before I move somewhere else.

    Edit : moved elsewhere.

  • It will fetch that or more on eBay, as an SWB it’s much less desirable as they were known to snap at the main frame clamp - that’s why they moved to a lugged join rather than TIG. People on eBay don’t know their TIG from their papier maché so yeah, I would go eBay.

  • Agreed, is it “worth” more, maybe not, but if you list it well with good photos you will likely get more.

  • @luccas I hate to be that guy but its forum rules not to cross post on other sites like facebook.

  • Yes buddy, I'm aware of that. I said I would move elsewhere with my last price bump. Following by a couple of comments that made it clear it won't sell here. So I just did move. I was about to edit here before your comment. Done.

  • If it's for sale elsewhere, delete this thread.

stating it's 'moved elsewhere' is not within the spirit or the letter of the rules, although I admit the forum's controls don't make it easy to do either. You might have to ask a mod to delete the thread for example.

  • I'm happy to delete, but as you said I can't do that myself it seems. So I just did what I see most people doing when they move their sales somewhere else - it seems quite common to me here. I'm definitely not here to defy the rule or trying to take advantage.

Anyway, if the mods could please close this thread I would appreciate. Thank you.
