I've seen plenty of good polo bikes made by Marino in Peru. Before polo found him he had a reasonably good rep for trials and DH frames. 6 years ago the exchange rate made them nice and competitive. The build quality dipped a bit while he adapted to the sudden increase in demand.

his prices are still extremely competitive, fwiw, and I am thinking of having an MTB frame done by him

Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but i'm after some 26" specifically non-tubeless tyres, any suggestions?

Anything to get my seat angle past 90 degrees

Sam Pilgrim is going to be so pissed off when he see this, he's totally ripped off his style of bike building.

Looks pretty chuckable brah

I thought your new bike was going to have a Pinion gearbox?
-
• #13488
reach is too long, maybe we need a setforward seatpost
also I dig the rigid forks but surely a dual crown option would be better -

Your insta saying "Savage" didn't look far off that.

Help!
I've got a RS Revelation, and I noticed today that travel was limited only going about half way, when I adjusted the compression it seemed to just stay the same. Now I've got home I let the air out and it's still not compressing further than half way.
I've recently had the air cap off to see which volume spacers it takes?

Did u buy it used?
Did you ride it in the rain?
Has the damping gone all weird too?
It’s possible something has got in to the lowers, water bypassing the seals or oil leaking from the damper
If it has the mo-co damper then it’s possable that it’s over filled by previous owner etc.

Yes, the damping has gone all weird, the LSC isn't seemingly doing anything.
And they're new, maybe done about 20 rides.

Return it or get it serviced. Not sure what else you could do. Shouldn't need to pull it apart 40 hours in, even if the service interval is 50 hours. And even if you did you might find what is wrong but won't be able to fix it. You'll get a free service out of it I guess if you kick up a fuss.

Which crankset should I get?
Already have a BSA BB for 24mm axle. Probably alu to keep cost down. -

Friend bought a Whyte 905. So jealous. But now I have the shittest bike out of all my friends which means an upgrade is justified

Sooner or later I'm gonna get a Real Job (the search starts next week). I will 100% definitely blow my first ever Adult Sized Paycheck on a stupid spine-breaker of bike, I won't be able to resist. Favouring some sort of 160-170mm hardtail with 2.8" tyres right now.
But yeah, it's the end of my PhD and the end of my cheapskatery. I feel all nostalgic. But it will not be missed
Edit: some stupid carbon road wheels are on the shopping list too
It's a bit Chile outside here - people are a bit slow....
