Quick question, heading away for a few days tomorrow and stupidly haven't got a camera bag. Turns out Ryan air have changed their bag policy so I don't really want to put my bag into the hold with the camera in.

Will I be okay boarding the plane with the camera around my neck? I have an old tamrac SLR bag that I will try and take I think too.

Yes. I have taken a camera on board before on a shoulder strap. At first someone tried to mouth off saying 'you can't bring more than one bag'. To which I turned to the side and said 'fuck off. It's a camera'. I didn't actually tell them to fuck off but I did say 'it's a camera.'
