That's sad.
"Normal" ISO black and white film should be fine I guess, well and you will know this.
Where I'm at there are basically no deals to be made on expired film anyways, it usually is cheaper than buying good stuff in a fancy camera store but it's still more expensive than Foto Impex or (sometimes) Maco. So.. -
How expired, out of interest? I've a roll of the stuff from 2009 I'm not sure is worth the trouble.
Unless I use it for something artistic. Shooting in fog, maybe
