SOLD: 1995 Kona Lava Dome 19"

1995 Joe Murray Kona Lava Dome.
Bought as a project but turned out to be too big for me, it's measured 19" from BB to top of seat tube.

Paintwork has the usual sort of wear you'd expect to see on a frame of this age, structurally it seems sound.
Original Project 2 forks, headset (unknown but feels smooth), Velocity stem, Racelight bars with levers all included. I have the original blue anodised cantilever brakes for it too if you want.

If you know about these 90's Kona frames I don't need to explain... if you don't know, get to know! I ended up building a smaller 97 Cinder Cone instead and it's honestly the most fun bike I've ever had.

When you say the sizing was too big for you - How tall / leggy are you? This frame intrigues me but I worry I may have a similar problem...

I'm about 5'11" and the 17" fits me perfectly. The top tube on this was slightly too long for me, even with a shorter stem I was a bit too stretched out. But it's a personal preference really, these old Kona's were meant to be quite stretched out and racey feeling but I wanted something a bit shorter.

I do but I used it for my Cinder Cone build, sorry. It takes a 27.0mm.

That's a great frame- someone should bite your hand off.
I would, but bought a Cannondake 92 M700 recently so can't justify.

Have you seen what the frames go for.

I still have mine and occassionally still use it as a single speed road bike.
