  • Stick a normal seatpost in there, and get rid of the future shock I love it

  • Is that a waxed cotton frame bag?

  • I think just well used revelate

  • This is a very personal thing but I find it funny how a gravel/adventure bike is seemingly enhanced by the addition of a bag, but a road bike looks worse.

That frame bag is not carrying overnight equipment, it's probably enough storage for an all day ride. If you were doing the same ride on road the "porn" aesthetic would be no saddle bag, all equipment and food/gels in your pockets.

  • If you were doing the same ride on road the "porn" aesthetic would be no saddle bag, all equipment and food/gels in your pockets.

another reason to ride a 'gravel' bike - it's not against #therules to carry a load of shit with you in a frame bag if you feel like it!

  • Exactly.
And you start the ride with to much stuff on and end up with jersey pockets spilling over with stuff.
Unless of course you're well experienced and a real roadie then you like freezing your ass off for 45 Minutes at the start of a winter ride.

  • I've been thinking the same, seems a lot of bike for the money.

  • And so much lighter. You don't feel penalised for running a steel frame.
    I love mine.

  • not to be to rude but how slow do you ride that it takes 45 minutes to heat up?!

  • It’s called a cobblegobbler.... future shock is the front end

  • Anyone know what the CGR 725 weighs? The SL carbon is around 8kgs, so a bloke on the ‘gram told me....

  • ?

Yeah, lose the post for a rigid one, and the future shock.

  • Slowly I guess.

  • Copied from ribble's own page:
"The Reynolds 725 steel frame weighs 2.3kgs and the full monocoque forks weigh 470g. A 105 build weighs 10.5kgs"
I doubt the carbon is 8kg in a normal size. More like 9, like every other OTP gravel bike

  • 1150g frame + 470g fork on the SL carbon in Medium.
This is the same as my P-X XLS that comes in at 8.5kg with Rival 1 and alloy finishing kit.

9kg is a good ball park for stock.

  • Thanks, and sorry for confusing post, I was tired and Henry weston'd

  • Henry weston'd

    My hero

  • New Octane One Kode Adventure, Tange frameset, cheap components, vertical dropouts, full bike 999 EUR RRP.

  • Cable guides seem to be on the wrong side of the fork.

  • Why? You can get an Arkose 2018 with way better stuff for £700

Or a Checkpoint/Topstone for not much more..

  • Coz it's a photoshop, not a real bike. You can see the disc tab and eyelets too, unused cable stops, etc. Pretty sloppy

  • Obviously. If they can't be arsed to shoot a bike proper, I wouldn't bother giving em my coin.

  • It doesn't even have a bottom cup for the headset..
Shame, I like my kode with horizontal dropouts.

Coming back to the sizing story of them, if I wouldn't have factored in the possibility of deep drop risers, I should've gotten a medium with 5' 11"ish. Now have a small with ungrammable spacer stack

  • Here's a real image: It's the SS one, my bad.

  • A 'real' image from @Tijs

    Yeah, right
