  • I picked up 2 pairs of Ben Sherman slimfit with elastane jeans at TKMaxx. Folded up and worn above the ankle they're skintight and really good for urban cycling. £26 a pair. I've had them before. Properly hard wearing around the arsenal.

  • What's the forum approved place for denim tailoring?

Need some jean legs tapering and bringing up 2"

  • Selling some I have only worn once but are a little to small.

  • No recent recommendation but I got some Big E's tapered and shortened at Son of Stag about 5 years ago. I went there as they chain stitched them and I'm still wearing the jeans so I was pretty happy with the results.

  • Denim Doctor in Manchester or Soldier Blue who are SoS repair crew

  • Didn't @Markyboy recommend somewhere? D'arlby street

  • They’re great for patching and mending (do work for nudie) but no idea if they can hem and taper?

  • Found and started to wear a pair of black/black Gustin straight legs I bought years ago from Fatberg.

Didn't wear them originally as they were straight leg and the stiffness made the flies sit open. But now they're finally breaking in a bit I gotta say, I quite like them. Were the $/£ not so shit I'd recommend them.

  • Too bad about the hate for Gustin on here, don't have any over their denim but the chinos own have held up well and overall seem better quality than the Epaulets I have.

  • Do people hate them?

    I'd never noticed.

  • I've brought them up in the past to general disapproval, hate is probably too strong a word. Words have been said about shape and QC, also sizing issues but none of those were present in my experience.

  • I guess the hit and miss sizing puts people off when it's "made to order"

  • QC issues for me on several pairs. I do like the ones I have that fit, but buying a limited run, having them fuck up the size, then being offered a replacement from leftover stock from a different run is a poor customer experience. As is getting dinged by customs on even the replacement pairs because they cannot label the replacements properly. So. Gustin: Nice jeans but they have been in business long enough to be able to deliver a significantly better customer experience, but don't.

So they no longer get my money. I now spend more locally to save myself the crapshoot that is their QC process.

  • Shame. Was pondering their jacket but not with that level of customer service

  • Denim crew. I have a pair of these: Momotaro 0405sp for sale. Size 31.

    £100. Worn 20 times.

    PM me if you're interested.

  • R.e. Gustin, by the time you factor in the cost of getting someone to take up the 20 metre long legs and customs charges you can get stuff closer to home for similar prices.

  • Innit. Just buy a pair of Edwin's.

  • Yeah this. Glad you like them tho hugo.

  • Anybody would like an Edwin 867B Waynesville £15?

  • @fussballclub If you can post I'll take 'em

  • Such a shame they stopped making waynesville and greensville’s. They were great.
