Anyone interested in free arabica beans which I purchased in Jordan?
500g of very dark roast
Most of 1kg of dark roastI tried to cheat on @StevePeel and bought them last week while in hols.
I find them way too roasted for my liking, and can't get anything I like out of them - either espresso or french press.Paid 12JOD per kg, that's £13 / kg which surprise surprise, was the most expensive 100% arabica beans the shop had.
The shop keeper defo saw me coming! -

you'll get used to it don't worry
start smoking, it helps with the transition -

It think it is more for turkish coffee so would be passable if blended with cardamon.
I feel like I am using ashes when I do an Espresso.
Pick up from New Cross or The City!

Just tried "The Barn" Huye Mountain beans in the espresso machine this morning - came out an absolute treat.
@andyfallsoff - I hope the replacement beans are equally as good.

Just wanted to thank everyone on their advice for an office coffee machine a few weeks ago. I put the suggestions to everyone and people wanted simple espresso style coffee. No grinding, no learning how to use the machine etc. We ended up getting a Delonghi Magnifica bean to cup espresso machine. I was pretty skeptical about the quality of the coffee it would make tbh. But with some Climpson & Sons beans it's making perfectly drinkable Americanos. Vastly better than the Nespresso and good enough to stop me buying a proper coffee every morning.

Ace, glad you enjoyed it!
Barn beans are always great, I've finished the low caf Laurina that I got in the same delivery but they were equally delicious
I've still got a Sage Grinder Pro for sale.
I'm moving out of my flat next week so will let it go for £60 if someone can pick up from Camberwell this week.
