If you want to look "woke", try "Their name was Jacob but their name is now Ariel". It will grate with anybody who speaks English, but you'll get Brownie points with a certain section of society, for as long as they don't insist on either renaming the Brownies to something less controversial or banning such regressive gender-exclusive paramilitary organisations 🙂
