@maynardeames the Volare has had a tapered headtube for the last two years, the models with 44mm headtube are well old.
They’ve made a fork that everybody wants. And nobody else seems to make. Of course they will place it a high price point. That’s how running a successful company works.
I would guess that the steerer is straight, as making it work in a tapered/oversized head tube is possible, but making a tapered fork work in a straight 1 1/8 head tube is not. I’m no bicycle component designer though.
