Aren't On One frames still worth about £145

"Hey, how come you don't ride with me anymore?"
-
• #13456
Apparently not a good idea to give them any of your money tho

tldr - y u no give me frame I paid for ages ago?

• #13459
Just to be clear, I didn't mean BTR. Their communication is great
-
• #13460
Oh. That old chestnut.
-
• #13461
Kept scrolling hoping for a reply from the company but nothing.
TLDR: people moaning for 10 pages, people buy frames, 6 months waiting, frames never arrive. -
• #13462
There's something from them at the bottom of page 8, but it's not their usual 'picking an internet fight' stuff
The STW bunch do somehow manage to be even moanier than us lot, but it's nice when a company ( however small ) takes a moment to get back in contact with you

That reminds me, I must message Matt again...

• #13464
I always wondered if anyone was riding the bikes they made. Guess now I know.

Thanks! Can't wait to give it a proper shakedown. And yes, I'm lucky enough to own a house in Maydena now:

It is a big fucking bike, and certainly not something I'd have bought if I didn't have a place in Tasmania. It does climb shockingly well despite its size, and only weighs a bit over 13 kegs. Bikes are truly mental these days. I'll do a full report when I've run a day of shuttles :D

This is good value, I guess? https://www.bike24.com/p2216940.html

Does look value. Cannondale have made some lovely looking bikes, but that isn't one of them.
Process 29 looks amazing, I really want to try one. I loved my 26" Process and should've never sold it.

• #13468
You can order them from Rutland UK for a similar price. They are by all accounts good, fun bikes. Value? I dunno, it's a £3k push bike. You'd have to really want one.

And how about all the pictures that are apparently on their social media of them wielding welders and hanging around in a workshop but then not actually building any frames and getting them made in Peru(?!)
*just what it says in that thread -
• #13471
Surely you can't expect two lads in a shed to design, produce and ship frames at the prices they're selling them at without outsourcing manufacturing?
What's wrong with Peru anyway?
-
• #13472
Well I don't really care either way, its just an interesting point.
Nothing wrong with Peru whatsoever, nothing wrong with outsourcing either. But if you're implicitly saying you're making them here in a workshop and you're not, that's a bit sly -
• #13473
I haven't even looked on at their website or social media and I'm not bothered to either btw. So it may be bullshit in the first place. Its just something that someone said on the single track thread
-
• #13474
Hah resolution is delivering frames, not taking on more people to help them resource manage. It’s only a step in a direction that might not even be the right direction.

This is all well and good but why the fuck has nobody said Peru've Been Framed yet?
Makes the On One Summer Season, which arguably kicked this all off, seem a bit pedestrian with it's 66.6 degree HA.
Also, remember when frames were £145?
