Not really audiophile but I just put up some audio panels and bass traps in my studio and the difference is wild. Everything sounds much tighter and more focussed, with what appears to be a significantly more even bass response. I’ve only got the rear wall and L/R reflection points in for now but once I’ve got the ceiling cloud up I’ll take some measurements to quantify it.
What’s really freaky is putting your ear to a panel, it’s like you’ve lost hearing in that ear!
