I've used PDW, SKS and GB. SKS are the lighest and floppiest, Id always try and go stainless if i can and now they're in black I wont need to buy anything else. They're light, stiff and not brittle like alu guards.

How is the length on the rear GBs? Looks a little short for group rides without an extra long flap.
I've had good luck with alu guards so far . My hammered VO fenders have been on my tourer now daily commuter for 7 years. PDW are working well on the Isen for past 9 months or so with Edelux light mounted on front.

To be fair, I'm only going on what I've heard / read here that the steel ones are significantly heavier. Not looked at the numbers.
