The Tl:dr on a new crank for an ai frame is to use cannondale’s cranks and ai specific chainrings.
‘Normally’ built up wheels can be re-dished to / from ai unless the builder was either extremely accurate and wasted no spoke thread or mucked the wheelbuilder up in exactly the opposite way you need to re-dish. Mavic aluminium system wheels cannot but that’s probably a moot point here.
I’m not sure if you could use your crank on a normal frame - it might be ai specific. Or at least the chainring will be. I wouldn’t have a frame built up as Ai because boost gets the same result and everyone has adopted that.
