@Sig_Arlecchino I’ve some « period correct » wheelset, but’s it 36 holes..
As it’s a bit too easy, I’m looking for 28 record (low flange ideally)Mavic OR would be the correct rim according to catalog, but I don’t really like them..
Also looking for a 27,2 SR seatpost at the right price..

I knew I could expect a perfect build from you :) Keep us updated! I know, it's gotten really difficult to find 27.2 SR seatposts for a fair price. Good luck with the search!

What's the hive mind take on this? My amateur brain thought it didn't look much cheaper than a second hand MTB derailleur but I don't know much about anything if I'm honest.

What's the hive mind take on this?
"$125 for a cassette, mech and shifter and still offers a range from 11-42t"
Following the general rule that $1=£1 after allowing for tax etc., it's no cheaper than SRAM NX1

NX is nice if mixed with GX trigger.

Nicely proportioned

I think the cheaper mechs are false economy. Bendy stamped cages and sloppy pivots don't make for good shifting in the long term.

Cheers, it's a 54 cm. I wonder how a 56 cm feels with the reach on the frame being more or less the same
-
• #122440
I've wondered the same thing, have a 54 and wouldn't mind the extra height at the front of the 56 - don't discard the change in st angle though

Good point, didn't figure that one out yet

Finishing the build this Sunday!!
Full ultegra to put on, gonna be my first time setting up a geared bike...
Hopefully won't be too difficult

Yeah. Noticing that was when I realised stack and reach doesn't and can't totally inform a bike fit

Ftfy. Way to much flex on them, not taking risks and swapped them for deda superzero bars.

V1 of Troll.
Needs hydro discs, mudguards, front rack, and converting to 1x.
After taking the pic I found my 8mm Allen key so was able to swap the yellow pedals for my one up composites in black

I thought it was 3x9 so was going to buy new wheels to get 10sp or 11sp and get rid of machined rims at the same time, but when it arrived I discovered it was 3x10 so now I'm reluctant to spend money purely on the better A E S T H E T I C

For what it's worth those stems are very flexy, the bars creak anytime you wrench on the bars even in the slightest. Is it 1" steerer?
-
• #122449
Flip the bike upside-down, spin the wheels and squirt. job dun

Thanks for the warning! not planning on using it actually it was just holding the fork in place. Yeah 1inch steerer :-)
That frame deserves silver or golden tubular rims and a campa sr seatpost. Black rims and radial lacing don't do it justice imho.
