Not cheap, but highly recommend it. Considering you get a lovely knife at the end. I'd say it was definitely worth it.

I've been going down a rabbit hole of intrigue in bladesmithing recently. I'm particularly fascinated by damascus, are there any forumengers making their own? My biggest query is would it be mad to try making my own without a powerhammer? Would it just be a thankless task of self indulgence or could I expect to get good results?
