  • I see you've just chopped the stays to remove the dropouts rather than try to debraze anything, are your new ends large enough to span the gap or are you going to have to 'pull' things in a bit?

  • There is plenty of stays to work with still as I am using Campagnolo track ends. They are quite large.
    I didn't really cut much off the stays. You can still see the dropout tabs inside the stays.
    I find it better to cut and file rather than heat and pull. Sometimes you end up damaging the tubes when overheating like that.
