Yes but giving an answer of "same as road tyres" isn't actually giving any suggestions or trying to ascertain exactly what the use will be to give better suggestions.

Rubino Pro G+
How do they compare to the old Rubino Pro? They appear to be 50% more expensive but then we had Brexit and shit so I'm probably thinking of 10yo pricing when I last bought some.

whole different ball game.

I haven't used Vittoria for ages. Might be worth another look. Only problem is I already have more tyres than some bike shops..
-
• #6057
I've put about 2k on one set this year and they look far from wearing out. For the price they're hard to beat.

Say hypothetically you had to ride 100km on a fixed gear. And said fixed gear was limited to 23c tyres. What tyres would you be looking at?
GP4000SII if you not running tubeless, Schwalbe Pro One if you are. They're both light, fast, not too expensive and reasonably puncture-resistant. There are of course tyres which are cheaper and sturdier, but they're my default choices.
Edit: Assuming you're running clinchers/tubeless. If tubulars then Vittoria Corsa G+.

Anyone have tried rock and roads? Going at a decent price at Planet X
-
• #6060
Seconded; even the wired ones are quick and grippy and barely ever flat.

Thirded; I've had three bikes running with these tyres for a couple of years (>14,000 miles) and I'm pretty sure they haven't punctured once in that time. They still aren't brilliant in the wet (but what is, that doesn't puncture easily?) but when I varied onto Gators, Pave or Kojaks I punctured within a couple of weeks (same roads)..*
*cue double puncture on the way home..

Kojaks punctured

Anyone used or even sourced the snappily titled Ritchey WCS Alpine JB Stronghold skinwall? They seem to be what I am looking for, road tyres that will do some light gravel duty. I basically want a 32 or 35mm tyre that I can use with inner tubes that I can actually get on/off the rim should the very worst happen.

Any thoughts on 26" slicks / semi slicks for a retro MTB that will be used for pub / child carrying / multi-purpose duties?
Am thinking cheap is important so that they don't cost more than the whole bike, how good / bad can schwalbe city jets be? They tick the value box...

schwalbe big ben

Been running mine for 4 years now:

I can't get that code to work, it rejects it citing T&Cs but without linking to them.
-
• #6071
Just create a new account and then use the new account code NCV2019 to take £10

• #6072
Ah, I tried adding it before creating a new account. Apologies, it's my first day on the internet...

Could I get away with putting 43mm tyres on https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/WPGIROEQ/gipiemme-roccia-equipe-700c-29-inch-disc-wheelset? need a cheap wheelset to act as a double for when I go mtb'ing 5 times a year...

• #6074
I don't see why not... Are these wheels made of lead?

I need to replace my commuting tyres. Currently reusing some old 30c G Ones which are soon to wear out so looking for 28's, tubeless. Don't mind about weight, price a priority. Rim is DT Swiss R500.
THIS
Anyone have any suggestions?
I give in. Had the Rubinos before and they were a'ight.
I should probably do some work now.
