Horizontal rain, deep bogs, hostile locals, tradition of face painting, heavy alcohol intake;
they'd do a grand job! Track possibly more problematic as current racing peaks are in winter (Olympic years excepted). -
• #20128
yeah, why have they done that? Surely that quite limits where can host it?

Tough start to the season for Tanfield. DFL
and DNF on consecutive days.He reckons he needs to be 5kg lighter. Surprised he’s only just worked that out tbqhwy.
-
• #20132
He beat Geraint Thomas in the opening TT.
-
• #20133
Good result and got him the young rider’s jersey but he admitted it was fortunate it came before any hilly stage or he’d have been out of the race.

EF education first wins Team time trial wtf?

Their kit is added motivation to get a leader’s jersey.

They used to be one of the best teams in the world at this, and not that long ago.

Probably should trust twitter inbuilt translation but it seems plans are afoot to move Sky licence to Colombia with an accompanying sponsor.

Coca Farmers Union powered by Comcast?
-
• #20141
Didn't the last Colombian team (pro-conti based in Italy) fold due to non-payment by the government?
-
• #20142
Nice Freudian slip from Cycling News:
reported that the meeting was facilitated by former Tram Sky rider Rigoberto Uran.

Always been impressed by what Skinner has to say. He’s what David Millar wrongly imagines himself to be.
-
• #20145
Not by the government but by Claudi Corti himself.
-
• #20146
Well he folded it because he couldn't fund it but that was because Coldeportes didn't want to continue their sponsorship with very short notice

Did I miss the bit where Team Deathstar changed their colours to hi-vis red?

Anyone else just watch the end of the Colombia race? Quintana and Bernal taken out by a falling fan with Angel Lopez and Sosa powering on then about a km out the finish Angel Lopez just about stops to get Quintana back on then nearly puts Sosa in to some plastic pole things while Quintana goes up the road and wins so Angel Lopez wins the GC.
-
• #20149
Oh wait Sosa got taken out not Bernal who dropped back and pulled him back up to Angel Lopez.
Also although I can't speak a word of Spanish thier commentary is amazing I've never heard someine roll an R for so long haha

Astana are going well aren’t they. New doctor?
I have no doubt that there are some amazing places to hold a cross race in and around Glasgow, like Irvine (where there was a National Trophy race earlier this season), Auchentoshan, Roukken Glen, etc.
It's holding the CX Worlds in August that I have issue with.
